Hi, I’m Acadia! I’m a Somerville resident and have been working with dogs in the Boston area for over three years. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, which laid the foundation for my understanding of behavior modification and the power of reinforcement-based training.

I’m deeply committed to ethical training, ensuring your dog’s safety and well-being throughout our sessions. I am a certified dog trainer, and am currently completing a certificate in Applied Animal Behavior through the University of Washington to continue expanding my knowledge and skills.

I’ve been passionate about training dogs for as long as I can remember, but it wasn’t until I adopted my dog, Lucy, in 2019 that everything truly clicked. Although I’ve always been surrounded by dogs, there’s something about Lucy that deepened my connection with animals in a way I never expected. She’s intuitive, gentle, and incredibly kind—qualities that inspired me to create The Charismatic Canine.

As I learned more about dog training, I realized how often the industry can stray from the values of respect and understanding that our pets truly deserve. Animals give us so much in their short lives, and it’s only fair that we meet them with kindness and empathy. My goal is to build a training approach that honors the bond we share with our dogs, emphasizing trust, communication, and compassion.
